1. Piyamit Tunnel Betong

This is one of the most interesting tourist attractions in Yala. This historical site used to be a bomb shelter during the Malaya Communist War in 1976. Learn about the history of the conflict and local culture. It is also an herbal site because it is located near San Kala Khiri Mountain where many wild herbs are grown. There is a giant weeping fig about a thousand years old which is a natural treasure. Don’t forget to buy OTOP products such as herb products after you are done exploring the historical site.

2. Churaphorn Patana Village 10 CBT

At Churaphon Patana Village, you will get to learn about the history of the southern region while wandering in the stunning Hala-Bala forest, which is the largest rainforest in Thailand. The community is the centre of various cultures: Thai, Chinese, Muslim and Maniq people. Enjoy local dishes from each culture made from local ingredients such as Khao Chang Chicken, Watercress, Betong tilapia fish, and Khao Yok. Every dish is made by a local chef to ensure an authentic experience.
