3 Stars (Exceptional Cuisine Worth a Special Journey) – amazing restaurants worthy of a long journey to visit at least once in your lifetime.

1. Jeh Fai ★
Jeh Fai is a famous street-food restaurant located in Bangkok that was awarded 1 Michelin Star. There are many recommended dishes, for example crab omelette, seafood noodles with a gravy sauce, dry congee, and crab curry; all of which are made with a recipe that has been passed down many generations. Jeh Fai restaurant uses a charcoal stove to cook food so all dishes have a pleasant smell.

2. Methavalai Sorndaeng ★
If you have visited Victory Monument district, you have probably noticed a Thai-European restaurant. That restaurant is Methavalai Sorndaeng, which has been open for more than 60 years. Not only does the restaurant offer great food, but it also has a great atmosphere. There is a live band performing lovely music, which is a highlight of the restaurant to accompany your meal.

3. R-Haan ★★
R-Haan has a “prosperous Thailand” concept. The restaurant offers Thai cuisine including royal Thai cuisine, all of which are finely cooked by professional chefs who skillfully bring out the ingredients’ taste to create amazing dishes that are decorated beautifully.

4. Bok Kia Tha Dindaeng (Bib Gourmand Award)
This is a famous dessert shop hidden in Tha Dindaeng market. The place is full of people enjoying delicious desserts. One dish loved by all customers is sweet noodles and syrup, to which you can add toppings as you like. The dish is made from the restaurant’s secret recipe so it has a unique taste. Although the queue might be long, the refreshing and tasty desserts are worth it.

5. Jeh Oh (Bib Gourmand Award)
This is another famous street-food restaurant located in Bangkok. Recommended dishes are Oh-oh fried noodles, stir-fried surf clams with chilli paste and crab dishes. However, note that the queue is really long. Some days you might have to wait up to 2 hours but we guarantee that the delicious meal you get to enjoy afterwards is really worth the wait.

6. Kor Panich (Bib Gourmand Award)
Enjoy delicious sticky rice with mango, Thailand’s signature dessert, at Kor Panich. The restaurant’s sticky rice is made with their secret recipe that has been passed down for about 80 years. Their sticky rice looks great and tastes great; beautiful rice grains, soft texture, and perfect sweetness that captures everyone’s heart. Apart from sticky rice with mango, the restaurant also offers sticky rice with durian, and sticky rice with other toppings.

7. Am Dang Typhoon (Michelin Plate Award)
Located in a colonial-style house renovated into a Thai-style restaurant, Am Dang Typhoon’s concept is “making you feel like having meals with family”. Recommended dishes are grilled river prawns, stir-fried crabs with Typhoon sauce, fried lotus roots, stir-fried lotus stems with prawns, and short mackerel in Madan soup. After your meal, enjoy the restaurant’s signature dessert named “Am Dang Typhoon”. If you want to know what kind of dessert Am Dang Typhoon is, you’ll have to visit the place and see it for yourself!
